Delta State Commissioner Kidnapped

Suspected kidnappers in Delta State yesterday abducted the state Commissioner for Higher Education, Professor Hope Eghagha, killing his orderly, a police sergeant, while his driver sustained injuries. The bandits were said to have trailed Professor Eghagha in his official car from Warri and intercepted him at Owa-Ekei Junction in Ika North East Local Government Area of the state.The kidnappers were said to have opened fire immediately on the commissioner’s car and killed his police orderly, before putting him in their Toyota Camry car and zooming off to unknown destination. Lagos State Teachers back to Classroom

I told you on Monday that teachers in Lagos State had embarked on strike.Well, public primary and secondary school students are expected to return to classroom today as the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) Lagos Chapter, has suspended the indefinite strike embarked upon, following the governor’s promise to implement the 27.5% payment from next year.
