A middle aged man, Mr. Wasiu Alabi had been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment after an Osogbo Magistrate’s Court found him guilty of conspiring and stealing a goat belonging to his neighbour, Mrs. Olanike Adedokun.
Although the convict had earlier been granted bail by the court in the sum of N20, 000 and two sureties, he was remanded at Ilesa Prison when he could not meet the bail conditions.
He was re-arraigned on Friday, after three months in prison, subsequently sentenced to three months for each count which would run concurrently.
This is really funny O! This is why I say poverty is a curse. See the big thieves in high places walk and breathe fresh air free of charge….caught today… charged to court tomorrow… bailed the next day with our money they stole…and the circle continues.
