Two suspected baby syndicates;  Kinsley Linus and a nurse, Martha specialized in selling babies to childless couples have been nabbed in Abuja by the National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and other Related Matters (NAPTIP).

The suspects arrested with five babies, reportedly lure young girls into phony marriages and thereafter disappear with their babies.

The latest victim is a 16 year old orphan, Prisca Asugwo who hails from Agwa Village in Imo state had her six month old baby stolen through a phony marriage.

NAPTIP’s Assistant Public Relations Director, Mr. Orakwue Arinze, said the agency has so far discovered buyers of the recovered babies and “they would stand as prosecution witnesses when the case is transferred to the police for prosecution”. (Source: Channels TV)
